I'm just starting to follow this. Apparently, theres a new hospital being built in maple grove, i believe by the senior high. Isn't this a GREAT employment opportunity for those of us looking for a life time occupation? The need for a hospital will only grow, especially for one of minnesota's fastest growing suburbs.

I am 18, and of course swaying back and forth between ideas for a career everyday. I definitely do not want to be sewing someone's heart back in, but the idea of helping individuals get their health back from minor injuries seems like a great way to make a living.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the medical industry, specifically the types careers that this hospital will bring.
It's a hospital... so pretty much everything and anything in the medical field. It's Fairview, so if you want more info maybe contact them or look on their website. :)
From ER gurus or diet gurus to admin peopel, there is a very large employments base in a hosptial.
Downside: good luck calling in sick :D

Its about time a hospital is built in Maple Grove. If I had to call 911 in Rogers, they'd haul my ass all the way to Robbinsdale. It would be 30 minute drive.

yea, MG is becoming the next "big" city..atleast, that's what I feel they are trying. The shopping areas are only growing, with a bridge planned to span over hemlock to adjoin the 2 areas. anyway, hospital is a good idea to place in MG. all the others are just too far away. good luck for those who live near it though..late night emergency arrivals to the clinic may keep people up.

I have all the info I can stand to hear/read on this subject I work in health care. It sounds like North Memorial is in the lead with the most votes.
I am looking into finding work there too if Allina or Fairview gets it -they pay top $ and have some of the best care & services available.

Its not really near the high school, its right at the intersection of 94 and CR 30 across the highway from Target and Wal-Mart. Its probably about 2 miles from the high school.

my bad! lol.
On another note do you all remember when arbor lakes had just the cinema 10 and the community center for entertainment and byerlys and joanne fabrics for stores?I just turned 18 so i was really young when a lot of the developing started. I remember biking to the 10 to watch fast and the furious when it first came out, but the projector broke so we got free tickets to Moulin Rouge. We thought we hit the jackpot for sure, turned out big disappointment, no naked women.....just singing, lots of singing.
