View Full Version : 16.5mm Drill Bit. Where To Get One?

That's right, we can't seem to find a local source for a 16.5mm drill bit or
.6496" in inches.

Anyone got any ideas. We have looked / called all your normal shops it seems.

i will see when i get home.. i have a lot of them i just need to find them.... what type of metal are you needing to drill?

Does .006" really matter? You could use a 21/32nds drill bit, that is .6562"

if they would spill some more info out we might know if a size smaller or size bigger would be better off..

The main thing is after paying a large price for the tap we'd like it to last a long time as well.

Use the larger size if it is just for a tapped thru hole. It makes the tap go in easier too. 6 thou diameter won't make any difference, especially on threads that big. That is only 3 thou depth.
