Well, after spending some time cleaning out my garage this weekend, I went ahead and whacked out a little project I've been meaning to do for a while now. After my dad helped me build an uber workbench, I decided that the hole in the wall where a window used to be needed to be re-opened for those deep summertime wrench sessions that often leave you needing a shower before anyone will even look at you.

an old a/c system I hung onto from my days of renting.

there used to be a window here!

nothing major in the way on the outside, so screw it! Out comes the drill and sawzall!

finished and burgler-proof.

Sweet, theres nothing like AC while working in the garage on 90+ days! Get some paint on that wall and the surround for the AC unit ;)

There is paint on the wall, just a nasty color :)

I'll frame it in all nice-like before it gets too hot so that no moisture gets in and around the siding and that it looks good.

there could have been wires in the wall, that would have been fun to sawzall through. :)

Yeah, AC rocks! I have a remote control unit in my garage :D

Nothing worse than the garage being hot so you open the doors and get swarmed by mosquitos!

I think one of my most pleasurable experiences ever was working on my Talon in an A/Ced garage on a humid 95+ degree day. Damn those were the good times!

The place where I store my car doesn't have A/C but there are no windows and it's fully insulated so it has almost the same effect if you keep the door closed. I was out there yesterday and will be again today. It's nice and cool in there.
