13G's are pretty sweet, if you have two of them. One, however, is not the "hot street setup". If you want to be an internet hero, get yourself a 20G or Evo3 16G and some mild cams. Then you can bang a gong.

It is fun driving with boost now instead of boost leak. SO fun lately that I think we need a new turbo. When it hits 13 psi one can smell the faint wisp of oil which indicated to me that the turbo is at its end. Like it was stated, it probably came from a junk yard off a used dsm. So I am going to have to switch anyway
The previous owner must have drove around (if you look at my intercooler corrosion story) with so much boost leak, they never got the car to work right and never noticed the wore out turbo.
SO now it is time to start thinking about replacement.
I can go two ways here
First I remind everyone that the car is stock (with a shot 13g ofcourse)
I can go back to the origional 14b
or upgrade to my lovely 16g evo III with evo III matching manifold
However funds are tight
I was wondering if I put on the 16G how many supporting mods do i need to go with it or can I run at stock 13psi with the 16G
Or should I save money go with berdas 14b and buy other supporting mods before the 16G
Goal for this summer for the car is around 250hp to 300hp
One upgrade I am going to do this summer is put on a nice exaust sytem (I havent picked one out yet though)

If you want to do 250-300hp this summer, you better get started :) get the 16g ($450), get it ported, and run it as low as it will go (like 10psi) and you will be fine. Then, get some 550cc injectors and an afc ($300 if you shop around). Then take it to LSE or DB and have them tune it for ya @ 20psi, and you're good to go! :)
