Thanks to everyone who helped out at the event in some fashion.

Long story short we didn’t finish the event. Stage 1 was good but a learning experience with all of the new power, so we took it very easy. Blew the dip stick (almost completely out) and lost quite a bit of oil on stage 2. No idea where the spring that was holding this in went. We had some "unexpected help" from some spectators/workers and were able to get back on the road. On stage 3 some residual splashed back up onto the windshield and with limited visibility hit a bowling ball size rock at about 60MPH. This is what ended our chances for finishing by destroying the front carrier bearing on the drive shaft, letting it flop around in there and beat the living crap out of everything.. We were able to limp out of the woods were I called it quits after the water and oil temp started to skyrocket.

Huge thanks to Eric for waiting on us in stage and helping find our time card. lol

A huge shout out to LSE Performance for hooking us up with some huge power gains thanks to their tuning abilities. Just goes to show that not just the big boys can get power out of a 34mm choker in the turbo.

We are planning on being ready for shooting star where we hope to start fresh and finish well. Well at least finish!

Well technically, I did pass you on stage Dan. But then backed up...Glad we could be there to make sure you made it out. It was a little funny to see the looks on the faces of the start control in stage 2 when they saw your "odd" timecard.

I actually beat car 462's time on stage 1. Only by 16 seconds, but it was the only stage we got a time. I got 11 seconds flat and they had 11.16. Bogey time was 13 minutes. And I was in the CR-V!!!! I wasn't pushing too hard though. We did have fun pulling them out on stage 6.

Andrew- Which stage were you on? I'm glad you had fun. Without people like you coming out, we can't put on any of these rallys. We appreciate the help and thank you very much for putting in the time. Did you make it to the party afterwards? Are you thinking about coming out for Shooting Star Rally on July 15th?

I was counting down on 2 and 8 start start gate. I was on Daves crew and I did make it to the party but didn't stay very long. The whole experience was fun however I was talking with the crew and they always need help. Like you said, none of these events can happen if there aren't people on the gates or radios so if anyone else comes to these events feel free to volunteer. It is fun. I am going to try to make it to the Shooting Star but i don't know at this point. However I DO plan on coming to the Ojibway. I rode along with my dad in his buick however next time I am bringing my GSX.http://dsmstyle.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I'm glad you had fun. Hopefully we'll see you in July. If you get up there early you can go out and drive some of the stages with the bannering crews. It's how I got my start.
