I'm always disappointed at the number of DSMs at these things... Would be nice to have a bunch of you roll in together.
Oh didnt know you helped run it but I will try to organize something then. I just kinda took your direction and ran with it :D

I don't think that we think we are better, it is just that most of the cars there are rice. Most DSM'ers are into rice. It is still a good time and you do see some nice cars though. I have been to 2 or 3 of them and had fun.

I am planning on going, hoping to bring some friends. So I hope to see some of you there.

I disagree. The number of clean and tastefully modified cars far outweighs the rice. Last year at this very meet the only aluminum wing in sight was on Jason's 400+whp Eclipse.

How many hondas were there? Primered body kitted CRX - Pretty sure I saw a few outrageous wings..RX-7 that had everything chrome plated.. his engine bay was 99% chrome. Waste more money please. It was interesting to see none the less. There is plenty of untastefully modded cars there. HOWEVER - it was a good time and it was fun checking out the cars worth looking at. I didn't enjoy getting bitched at by someone for "peeling out" in my stock AWD dsm. Last time I checked, you couldn't break the tires loose if you tried in a stock AWD dsm.

Jasons car has over 515 whp by the way :P Yes he still has the ricer wing!

The upside is that the food was good, LOTS of people show up, and you get to see some shit that isn't a DSM or 3kgt.

Another reason DSMers don't go is because we don't really make show cars. We build cars to go fast and some of us just don't care what it looks like. As long as it's fast, it doesn't matter.

Whether your tires broke loose or not doesn't matter, excessive acceleration in the name of showing off at these events is what makes them so unfavorable in the public/police's eye and does nothing but get our gatherings cracked down on even further. If you are innocent of the above too then I appologize and I'm sorry you were confused for someone else.

I was one of the only DSM's there and even if i did WOT, I had stock exhaust. Truthfully, I didn't even hit boost. No need to show off when my car was parked in the parking lot away from all of the cars. I was there to look at cars, not show off. It was probably SOMEHOW one of the civics / crx's mistaken for my dsm. lol, how can you do that....!?

I'd go if it wasn't in Maple Grove :( My truck won't make it that far.

Yeah, I'll have to agree, there are some riced out cars that show up to this event, but they are in the minority. Sometimes you get to see some very nicely modded cars there. Plus there are so many cars there, who cars if there are some ricey ones. MNSC meets are pretty laid back and it doesn't matter if you have a show car or not, just come on out. If you don't want to eat, its free. And for $5 you can get burgers/brauts/chips/pop.

And Tauni, this MNSC meet isn't any farther away then LSE is. LOL.

Curt

That's all I'm concerned about anyway, if it isn't fun, why waste your freetime on anything else if you don't need to?

Where are we meeting then, so we can roll on in together?
