I need to upgrade my injectors once again and the fic 1600cc injectors are priced right but I have heard of some driveability issues with using these injectors. Wondering if I should pick these up or maybe spend some more money and buy the 1150cc injectors fic sell. Anyone have any experience with these injectors?
I have a 2.4, pte 3561, DSMLink, Buschur AFPR, supra TT pump. I also plan on running ethanol on the street.

Will you even need 1600cc injectors? I would just go with the 1150cc instead. I know Jake (eclipseGST) has 1600cc with DSMlink and they idle fine.

I don't think I will need all of 1600cc but I could see myself possibly maxing out 1000cc-1150cc injectors running ethanol and high boost. I am maxing out my PTE 780cc injectors on ethanol at around 22-23 psi and I would like to run quite a bit more boost. You need 25-30% more fuel when running ethanol compared to race gas. Ecoli has experienced even more than 30% fuel addition when tuning on e85.
Thats right, Jake bought Shane's old 1600cc injectors, good to know he is having decent luck with them.

Yep... They run awesome. Global is 72% and deadtime is 450 with PTE 1600's.
Its nice to have larger injectors just for the fact that you'll never have to upgrade again and thats just one less thing holding you up later on. When I ran my car on the dyno, the most airflow I saw before the turbo blew was 51lbs/min and I was at 29% IDC (injector duty cycle) :)
I have also heard that Chris (v8killa) is using 1600s with DSMlink also and they were running good, not sure if that is true or not, just what I heard when I was buying the injectors.

There's a guy on another board that is taking out his 1600's and AEM EMS to run DSMLink and 880's just because he hated tuning it. He's running a large turbo that I haven't heard of, but similar to a GT-35R.

Many people on the dsmlink forums are running them Jim. Search on there and you will find a big thread with what people have said about them. Most people like them and havn't had much of a problem tuning with them.

I have had no problems thusfar, however my car idles upwards of 2000 rpms.
It's always nice to have a little extra room up top though, at 87 lbs/min I'm at 75.6% duty cycle ;)

Holy shit, your flowing 87lbs/min... Is this in the GSX and I sure hope thats not what you ran when you put down the 11.3 at RF?
Thats nice to know about the duty cycle. What gas are you using and what size fuel pump?

Is that by choice? Or because of the injectors? My ISC is flakey right now and idles at 1500 rpms. Even that can be annoying in stop and go traffic.
Nice airflow numbers!
