So, my current place of employment (saturn of BP) has cut back my hours for a while now. I usually work 7-1 each day, and was looking into getting a second job for the evening, but they changed my hours today, so I work every other day mornings, and every other evening..making getting a steady 2nd job damn near impossible. Now, I cannot survive on a fuckin 160 dollar check each week..I don't know many who can! gas is too expensive, driving a DSM is expensive, and I have other bills to attend to. I was wondering if any of you had ideas on a job? I don't even care if it's automotive anymore. I am thinking of just selling off my tools, and doing something else. I need atleast 11 an hour for pay. I'd perfer it to be mornings to afternoon I work, so I can still maybe get a second job in the evening for a few hours, and I'd really like weekends off..I am open for suggestions!

What did you do at Saturn. Any alignment/suspension and brake experience?

I do brakes all the time. I could do flushes, as I've helped out the mechanics before, but they won't quite let me do it (it's "stealing" work from the techs). I have done alignments..I've had more experience at that when I worked at tires plus for 2 1/2 years. Mainly, I am a general tech guy..rotates, lofs, coolant flushes, serp belts, etc.

You can come work at Batteries Plus, but you'll hate your life.

why's that matt? I'd work with you, wouldn't I?

what about weekends sleepy? I just asked to keep them open..like a normal job..sat n sunday off..leaves me room for track days, family time, winding down..otherwise, the stress of two jobs will drive me to the edge, and kill me lol.

If you worked here in Woodbury yeah you would work with me. But the pay is pretty weak, but all you really do is sit and read forums all day, at least that is what I do. Haha if you really are interested let me know, I could probably put in a good word for you.

I know how that is too! My shop is always cutting my hours! But if you look on like carrierbuilders.com they have alot of openings for techs..Because of all the strikes going on. I know stillwater motors is hiring and they say you don't have to have any experiance..Other I work two jobs and my other one is over night manitance at a wal mart and i started at 10.45 and you get 40 hrs a week. It anit to bad you make almost $400 a week..But yea having two jobs sucks i work almost 70-80 hrs a week.

I dont know if you want one right now or can wait? I work at rudy lither toyota, or did before we went on strike, when our new building goes up they will be needing more help. That will be in july. Otherwise I had a friend that installed closet cabinets and made more than 11 an hour. If you want I can dig up that phone number.
