I have read up on a lot of forums and basically it slows up your computer worse than XP. Also has a lot of security issues and geared more towards the older generation that doesn't know how to use computers that great.

In my opinion if I had the choice between XP and Vista, by what I've read, I would choose XP still.

WHEN will the world realize how CRAPPY Microsoft products are!

Everyone do yourself a favor and go buy a Mac!

Boo to mac.

When I do upgrade my machine speeds I will be switching over to Vista. Takes alot of power to run it smoothly though.

I'll be sticking with XP as long as possible. If I switch to anything it will be Linux at this point.

I'd still be running Windows 2000 (best MS OS to date) if Microsoft didn't quit supporting it.

Macs suck ass. Enough said. The only Apple i will ever own is an Ipod (and a fruit).
I will stick with XP until at least Vista SP1.

Macs suck... that's all I'll say. OSX is a shitty OS and their hardware is overcharged PC hardware. I guess they thought the path that Sun Microsystems took was a good one.... only one difference! Solaris is a good OS!

+1 on Windows 2000, most solid OS that I've had on my system. Win2k Server was solid.

I like XP just fine, but I get Vista Business free from school so I am going to try it out and see how I like it :). I've seen it used on my buddy's laptop, it looked pretty cool to me. I have enough ram to where my computer is already pretty fast, a bit slower wouldnt bother me all that much. I am planning on upgrading the ram soon anyway, hopefully this spring if the money situation is right.

I used to be into computers a lot. Back then my favorites were Redhat 9 (I think that was the latest version) and some version of Mandrake (now Mandriva I think). If I have money this spring after saving for my rebuild and doing the RAM and such, I will get an external hard drive and get a linux system, but for now I like the setup of Windows the best. Oh yeah, Apple for the gay. Sure the graphical interface is cool looking but their shit breaks more than any DSM I have ever known.

Some rep was telling me you need 1gig RAM and MS recommends a dual core processor for optimized use. Now, I have those requirements, but anyone with a computer more than 1 year old is likely going to have to upgrade. Seems like a lot of cost just so that a computer will run similar to a Mac. I am a PC user, but that Mac OS is amazing.
