DSMLINK useage Question

I'll have two dsm's and don't see the point in wasting money on an AFC for my beater car if I can use dsmlink in both. I also know you can get a better tune out of link so it would make sense to use it if I had it.

I know I'd need an eprom ecu + chip for each ECU. The question is, can I use DSMlink on a single laptop for two different cars? I mean literally wire it to one dsm, get it tuned, then wire it to the second car and get that one tuned.

I would think that would work. Being that you dont need the laptop or obd2 connector plugged in all the time. If its from 1g to 2g then all you have to do is switch it in the software.

Yes you can use it for both cars. But store the .dat files for each car in a different file location.

I didn it with my 2g so I wouldn't think it would be a problem with a 1g. I have socketed eproms for both, (actually it was 3 of our 2g's I used it on) and I just swap the laptop back and forth whenever I feel like tuning another car. I got rid of one of the cars so I have to get rid of an ecu no wthough. It still works on the other 2 though if I need it. They are never running anyhow.
