Hey just wondering if it is legal to have clear taillights? I thought i read somewhere that you an have them but they have to have red led's or somthing like that! Cause i know the lexus SUV's have clear tail lights..
They have to be DOT approved, which most of the Altezza things are not.

Actually had a fun talk with a cop a while back, got pulled over for blue LED winshield washer lights, forgive me, i was dumb(young).
All Minnesota lights must be DOT aproved, forward facing lights must be either white, or a yellow(amber) such as turn signals or running lights. From the side, only yellow lights should be visible, along with the reflection of headlights and tail lights. Meaning no sideways facing foglights. For reasons of spoting deer i'm sure, and my favorite. Only red lights may be facing the rear. Same as before, running lights may show amber but there can be NO white light facing back due to the fact vehicles have white lights for reverese. So if you have a white light showing out the back someone might think your going in reverse at 55pmh down the highway, or someone's coming straight at them in the wrong lane.
So, if you get clear alteza's, make sure you get a red//white bulb to make sure the light color is still legal. I had an s-10 before and was told by a cop to put amber bulbs in my turn signal up front or i could get a ticket for it.

Another law question. Is it illegal in MN to drive with no hood? My friend and i were debating on it, and tried to search for it, but nothing.
