Should i sell my '92 AWD, its stock right now with free mods, boost gauge.
5 spd, 143k miles. new brakes, tie rods, lower ball joints. T-belt job done by LSE. Red. body is kinda rough, has 2G 5 spoke chrome rims, with Toyo T1R tires, maybe 300 miles on those. I have $3k into the car (includes buying it) so i guess any offers from there.
I really would prefer a '90 or '91 body, and one that is in better cond. The motor and tranny in this are excellent, but i don't know.
To Mods: sorry if this is in wrong place. i thought it would be an ok post.
Helpful advice greatfully appreciated
Thx
Aaron

You could always just buy a 90-91 shell, but it would probably be a lot easier to just sell your car and find another. I guess it all depends on how mch you care about the looks of the car. It sounds like your car is a pretty solid car and you might need to do more work on another to get it in as good of shape. I would just stick with that car if I were you.

If you have $$$ into the car, it's not worth the switch IMHO. You may find a nice shell or car somewhere down the road you want to pick up. On second thought: screw it, sell it and pick up Cher's car.

sorry for being a crack head everyone. So far i am thinking keep it, then i can keep modding it and then just pick up a shell when i find one. i talked to someone earlier and he said that he runs over them all the time and then i searched a whole bunch of diff. and little forums/sites and found a few mint looking ones for like $600/700. I didn't think it would be that cheap. So i think i am leaning for keeping and looking for a shell. (no i don't smoke rocks, i think i have ADD or insomnia, maybe i need to get laid, my bro said d. all the above)
sorry and thx again.
p.s. - We need more smilies and stuff bad

If you do buy a different body make sure you stay with a 91 body. The engine bay and electircal is identical to your 92. The 1990 have different throttle body and throttle body sensor. The knock sensor plug is different. The power transister plug is different. The ecu is wired a little different. What this means is that a 91 is a straight swap and a 90 is not. You will end up tracking down parts and waisting money on parts just to get your swap done on a 1990 body. Also if you buy a shell make sure you ask what it comes with. Some people like to take things off of car and not tell you. Before you sell your 92 shell check to see if you have a four bolt rear. If so, yank out the rear and put it on the 91. Take the 91 three bolt and put it on the 92.

I Think It All Depends If U Have The Money To Burn. I Never Really Cared Too Much About How My Car Looks. I've Always Been More In To "go" Then "show." U Should Really Think About What Ur About To Do...it Might Just Give U A Bigger Headache Then The One U Already Have...from Already Owning One Dsm....

Thx, some advice there about the 90 to 91's that i didn't know. So looks like i will be looking for a '91 shell in about a month here once the driveway is done. Yeah, my car is 6 bolt/4 bolt. I really don't have too much $$$ and i thought that i wouldn't care what my car looks like either, but i guess i do a little more than i thought i would of. Maybe once i get some mods, i will settle down for a while.
Thx all see u on mitsu/LSE/dsmstyle weekend!!

Just sell it, and be done with DSMs forever.
