Alright, as many of you know (and have seen my multitude of threads) I blew up my tranny in my '92 awd. I replaced it with a working '91 GVR4 tranny. I notice that tranny leaks fluid where the axels go into the tranny. Of course the first thought is "output shaft seals" but in this case they are brand new, not torn or installed incorrectly.

Apparently 91-94 trannys and axels are not all the same. I was told to use GVR4 axels, but I assumed they were all the same.

I went to Mitsubishi, and Nick G pointed out in the 1991 model year (I assume this applies to 91-94 as well), there are three different Front Right axels: one for the automatic (no color), one for gvr4 manual (green), and gsx manual (dark green). I have a dark green CV shaft from my 92 awd.

A green CV shaft from Mitsubishi, with discount, is $650! I cannot find them anywhere else, and everywhere I look or gives me the part for the GSX.

What the hell am I gonna do? I paid $500 for that gvr4 tranny and xfer case. What a waste.

Check with Raxles, he's cheap and the quality is good. Hopefully they've got something in stock, and then just ship him yours as a core.

the problem is that every place shows only the "gsx" dark green axel as the one for the GVR4.

Actually, this is a bunch of BS. I tired my axel in my friend's 92 GVR4 tranny, and it locked in great, and had just the little normal play. So my tranny's diff is fucked somehow.
