Hi,

i've been doing some boost leak testing today, and ive found a massive, loud leak. Problem is, I don't know where its coming from.

It sounds like its coming from around the center section of the turbo. Its not coming from the inlet or outlet. Doing some soapy water testing, those come out fine. It seems to be coming from an area not really visible with the turbo on the car... But its loud, and its bad.

Has anyone had issues with the turbo compressor housing itself leaking? Where else can air leak out of the compressor?

Help! THanks!

Hrm, might be leaky oil seals in the turbo, or where the compressor cover meets the center section.

quacktastic. Are there any other holes in the 14b compressor housing besides the inlet and outlet that may not have the bolts tight enough or the hole plugged?

Leaky waste gate actuator? WE JUST did a boost leak test on my friends tsi (Berda). and at 8 psi his waste gate actuator started leaking where the shaft comes out. Try looking there.
