Ok i dunno if you will know or not..but i got my eclipse from Kline mitsu (never gone back there again) in july. But anyway when i got the car the windows were tinted and i ask the salesman if it was legal and he told me it was..but last week i got pulled over and got a ticket for it being to dark..they were way to dark! so yea i got stuck with a bill to have my tint removed and replaced just wondering if they are liable for it or not?
Thanks
-Tyler
I would say no. Unless you have it somewhere in writing that the windows were legal.
Remember the salesman will tell you almost anything to make the sale.

Have you bothered to ask them? A simple phone call should be your first step. If that doesn't work, go in there with the ticket and speak with the sales manager or whom ever else is in charge. If possible, try to find the name of the saleman you dealt with.

Just take the tint off. Than go to the hearing officer and explain to him what had happen. He will mostly wave the ticket. No use trying to cry over spilt milk. If the person to blame it would be you because you did not check the tint laws. If you get pissed off that is ok. I am just stating my opinion.

Some cops are lazy. Some are relaxed. And some live by the book.
Looks like you were on the wrong part of town at the time. Can't believe things that people say, sometimes you gotta find it out by yourself.
Just fyi, the legal tint in MN is 50% i believe? The lower the number, the higher the chance you'll get pulled over.

Brookdale parts wouldn't know. I'd probably be the best one to ask, but I don't actually know for sure either. I'd probably pay for the whole ticket if I told someone it wouldn't be an issue. Then again, I've never said something just to get a sale, unlike a salesman who works for someone else. I'm the boss, so the buck stops here. I would do as Hughes suggested and bring the ticket in and talk to the sales manager. It could go either way, but it's worth a shot.

I would bring it up with the sales manager. Its hard to say what would happen.
