Why would anyone choose one event over the other? They're completely different...
One is a Dyno Day for DSM'ers, the other is a hang out w/other Mitsu-owners day...
I just don't see the similarity...except that it might be better for some out-of-town DSM'ers to just spend the weekend rather than have to make the trip twice...

Why would anyone choose one event over the other? They're completely different...Well, they can't be too different. I've had two people totally get the events confused. I'm sure there will be more.

I just don't see the similarity...except that it might be better for some out-of-town DSM'ers to just spend the weekend rather than have to make the trip twice...If you are a DSMer that has to travel 50 to 100 miles to come to LSE and you are a little short on cash, guess what? You will probably choose either Saturday or Sunday to make the trip to LSE since you'll be spending $15 to $20 in gas for each trip. Plus other DSMers might have family commitments and they can only get away for one day. Its a simple fact of life.
I've planned over 80 Mitsu gatherings in the last eight years. I'm pretty sure I can predict people's behavior when it comes to car gatherings.

Curt your right about DSMers being cheap but simple logic should determine that if somebody wants to come to both events having them the same weekend would be better. Usually if somebody has something else planned it would be for the whole weekend. So chances are if somebody can make it on Saturday they will be able to make it on Sunday.
And if you cannot afford $20 in gas for a few trips to LSE. Then you should be taking the fucking bus instead of driving a car. I am coming to both events since I do not have anything going on that weekend.

if my dsm is up and running by then I'll have that there, and if not, I'll probably be on my bike, or in my 240 if the weather isn't so great
