ever since I bought the car it sputtered as soon as I hit boost. i always assumed it was a turbo problem so I turned my boost down and rarelt drove it hard. I recently justinstalled a new 14b, fmic setup, injectors, fuel pump, afpr, and redid my maf by movingit after my bov. Car ran great but it still sputtered when runnning boost, it was just faster...So today on the way home it decides to start back firing and turn off. So I pull over and i go to turn it on again but it wont. it trys and trys and makes all the noises it needs to and the tach shows some movement but somethings just not working..
Is this the coil? Talked to a couple people andthey think this is it.
My car isrolled into some dudes driveway hoping it wont get towed and Im going to fix it tomorrow early as possible so I need this info stat. Please help me!! Also how much is a coil for a 7 bolt? I need one tonight ifnot tomorrow early as hell. Any input is great thanks!
You first need to make sure there are no huge boost leaks like a blown off IC hose. After that start checking for spark.

CVD is right, go check for leaks and then spark.

Also me and my gf's father are goign to try to do this in some random guys driveway hoping he hasnt blown up or towed the car by the time we get there. Is this possible to do?

Depends on a lot of things...like if he had a bad day at work, if his wife cheated on him recently, if he got a new gun for X-Mas he's been dying to try out, etc. ;)

well If I do go down in a blaze of hell fire from some unfriendly minnesotanfarmer.. please move my body to la and plant some crack on me, a fake id, and an ak47 with like hella shot rounds around me and a couple extra clips so Ill look bad ass and write some cool obituary..
Also my car would up f/s the good.. Fresh EVERYTHINGthe bad I died right next to it and it has an appointment on wdnesday at lse to get my racing seat in so the owner would have to get that as well..
On a serious note though if this happened in my yard Id help the guy out just as Im sure you guys would. Again hes probably not a car guy but lets just hope he believes in karma..

I'd go outside in boxers and untied boots...anyone know where I am going with this? In all reality though, if it were a DSM and the guy was nice and not an idiot about things I'd lend a hand.

I have a coil I will sell for $30, but I am not going to be home much today. I could take it off the car tomorow afternoon (Wednesday). You would have to come and get it. The coil worked good before so it should work well now. Make sure you need a new one first and let me know. I don't want to waste time taking it off the car if I don't need to because I have a lot of stuff I need to get done.
To test spark, pull the spark plug wires off the plugs and have your neon buddy start the car while you stick your finger over the end of the spark plug wires. You will know if there is spark or not then. Just kidding on this way of doing it. It wouldn't feel to great when you find out there is spark. Just pull the plugs one at a time leaving the wire on them and look at them. Don't touch them.
