I got an oil filter relocation kit, as the wastegate dump wouldn't fit, with the filter there. Now, for reference purposes, i'll use group 7 filters..

our cars call for the V193 filter..it's a short, fat filter. the relocation kit i got from summit calls for the V1A, which is the same filter, but 2x taller. I want to know if this will be an issue with oil pressure, as I am getting mixed reviews.. I don't feel like guessing, only to be wrong and fuck up about 4 g's in parts..

I personally dont see how a bigger filter would change your oil pressure, the oil will still need to go past the bearings and any clearances that it normally does. The filter would be able to flow more, but its flow will be restricted by the bearings and passages the oil normaly goes thru.

Just the way i see it...

The filter size will not affect the oil pressure. It will affect how long until you get oil pressure though. It should be a very minimal difference though.

I use the group V4670 in place of the V1A.

I use the standard filters available, not the high filtration ones that catch smaller particles. In my experience with the high filtration filters my oil presser was a little on the high side around 5000+ RPM, you know speeding.
