OK, here's how I really feel about it. That shit should be illegal, period. It's the same thing as assuming all black people are criminals because they're black. Or all Arabs are terrorist because they're Arab. Etc, etc, etc. It's profiling, plain and simple. How many trucks get tickets or impounded because they have dual exhaust? Or oversize mud tires? Or 5 inch suspension lifts + 4 inch body lifts? Etc,etc, etc. None of these things are factory, which makes them truely illegal by most, if not all states.
I'll bet you I could go to any California highway and point out just as many vehicles that look stock, but couldn't pass emissions.

Hmmm...when you put it that way maybe this deal isn't so bad. :D j/k
I really wish there was a way to stop this. That video is posted on every message board I'm on and most people are outraged. I wonder if any magazines like Car & Driver would do a feature about this BS or if SEMA would fight back. After all this kind of crap will eventually cut into the aftermarket parts business.

'Copyright Infringement'!!!! That's more outrageous then the video itself. Who the fuck do they think paid to have that video made? Assuming taxes payers foot the bill that piece of crap should be public domain.

I get the point behind what you're saying...but just cause it's not factory does not make it illegal. EVEN IN CA!
I agree about the trucks with the huge lifts. That is actually a safety concern since their bumpers won't match up! I know they have a maximum bumper height and I see many running around over that. They could get some of the cars for sitting too low also.

Yeah...but even with stock cars...there's not always gonna be a match.
Take my SRT, it's stock ride height. Sit it next to a new Chevy 1 Ton...if he rear ends me...he's taking out the trunk...but the bumper will remain intact...
