anyone here see some top-mount turbo setups on dsm's? I saw johan's white dsm, tuned by CFT, and I gotta say, that car, and the blue civic with the 42r totally does it in for me..it's hot! so, where could one find a manifold like this? anyone have pics?

I may be wrong but I think SLS posted something about this not too long ago?

that's the exact pic I have. I just watched the blue civic vid again off of CFT, and the polished cover of a 42r mounted top, makes the fricken motor look small..I LOVE it. Why is that manifold not listed on their page?

Shearer has a top-mount manifold as well I believe. I'll dig for it tomorrow but I think there's a Shearer vs. Full-Race thread on Tuners that the manifold is discussed in.

The only top-mount IC i've seen on a DSM was a real ghetto set-up on a 1G in Phoenix. Painful to look at. He put spray on insulation on the IC and took a sawsall to the hood to direct the airflow to it.

The other Phoenix guys on this board will remember it for sure. Just ask about Dietrich.

He is talking about a turbo manifold that has the turbo mounted on top rather than hanging below.

Not top mount IC like a Subie or Alltrac.;)
