I have a dead laptop with a perfectly good screen, no dead pixels or scratches. But the hard drive is shot, the CDROM is fried and the USB ports are busted. (Its been dropped and beat and ripped up like a stock clutch)
So I was thinking how I could use the screen by its self, you know like power it up as a slave, and hook up a PS2, DVD player or something. Anyone ever try this?

ehhh.. don't know about hooking it up to something like a ps2 or dvd player, if you can figure out where the video signals are coming off the boards you might be able to do something but I'm no electrical engineer or anything. If I were you I'd just put the screen up on ebay. People suprisingly look for spare laptop parts and screens tend to be hot items.

Won't work without a working video card which requires a working hard drive with a working OS installed. What you should try is finding a way to intergrate into with your DSM directly for a real-time running of DSMLink. ;)

That would be cool. I was thinking about a full heads up display on the windshield for night tuning.
