The more and more I drive my painfully stock(but reliable) GVR-4 I realize there is more to driving fast than doing it in a straight line. I really like the way my Galant handles compared to my Talon and since the Galant is stock I have been able to have fun with it on roads that have turns. Yes I know I said turns but in the Galant I can actually have the pedal to the floor during a corner and not worry about breaking any tires loose or worse.

With this new found curiousity I am trying to find more info about road courses or whatever else there is around to learn how to drive fast and turn at the same time. I don't even really know what they call it, but like those events I kept seeing down at DCTC. What's it take to get into something like that and what can I expect? Keep in mind it's a 14 year old stock Galant VR-4.

Anyone know anything that can point in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Matt bring the Galany out to a rallycross before you start to break shit on the pavement. :)

I'm going to be doing a lot of that this year also. AARRF does a lot at the St. Cloud Police coarse as well as the DCTC track.

Thanks for all the input guys. And AJ do you know how hard it is to keep a white car clean? Just thinking about it being surrounded by dirt scares me.

It's pretty hard to keep a white car clean no matter what. Taking it to a rally cross won't be good, but if you clean the car afterwards (inc. engine bay), it's not that bad.

A Rally Cross doesn't get your car as dirty as you'd think. Try it once Matt, you'll be hooked!

White is easier to keep clean than black :)
