Magnetic oil pan heater? What exactly does that do besides the obvious haha?

Besides the obvious, (keeping the oil warm) it helps turning the car over due to the oil being warm/thinner and also doesnt give you as high of oil pressure on start up like thicker cold oil would. Easier on the motor. Just like having a block heater to warm the coolant.
