That's pretty sweet. It'd be better is it was a GSX, but I think it's cool lookin'.

DSMs dont have a frame, its all unibody, maybe they can get away with it being slow and all, but if you did that to a real DSM im pretty sure that something would warp after a hardy launch....
if you want a convertable, get a 2G GST spyder converted to a GSX, or the 3kgt spyder VR4

Personally, I think this looks better than a drop top. Actually I think I would like it better if it was T-tops, but Spyder's don't do it for me. I'm just not a huge fan of convertibles.

Well, you can't have everything, so if you want fast+removable top, you are limited to just a few cars and from mitsu you have the 2 spyders....
basically when you have a modified top of a car you lose alot of the good features of the car.
in this top gear video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-506730655359711588&q=top+gear
they compare 3 convertibles(TT, 350Z, xfire)....as it turns out there was no definate winner because all 3 of those cars were designed to be hard topped sports cars....and with cutting the evolved to be convertibles...
in the end they suggested that if you are going to get a convertible, get one that was designed to be a convertable from the ground up, like the S2000
anyways watch the video, its good....as a matter of fact, you should go to video.google.com and search for "top gear" its an excellent series you can all watch for free, I watched all of them, totally worth my time, and probably worth yours
(warning: prepare to dedicate a whole afternoon+evening if you want to watch all of them)

I'm not really into the look of the cars. And as far as performance, I never really figured they would be worth much, but to each their own. A sun roof is good enough for me. But I will check those videos out later when I am home from work. Thanks!

You do realize the original prototype DSM's included a targa top? There's been pictures of them from the factory from some car rag article in 1988 floating around for years. The issue of being a unibody car can be worked around with some proper x-bracing added between the front and rear subframes. It wouldn't be for a track car.
