well i was driving and floored it pretty hard in first gear and then i heard a loud pop and the next thing u know white smoke is pileing out of my exhaust, the sides of the hood, and even into my car. first thing that came to mind was a blown turbo. cher was over the other day and we took the intake off and looked at the turbo and the wheel had very little play back and fourth and thats it so i dont think that, that could cause that much smoke. cher said it could posably be a blown head gasket, well befor i go on, i can drive the car fine but once i build boost smoke just piles out, well i can build boost fine in first gear w/out smoke, but when i switch to anohter gear it really piles out. so cher said to run a compression test. so today at work i ran a compression test and it was fine, i think that max hd it went to was 4. iam kinda stumped, and not that knowledgable, and iam goin to florida on the 27th of this month, so im trying to get my car running good. help is needed pls.
damn, now i have to get advil first before i answer...

Head gasket is blown. Now use your shift key.

The white smoke you see is probably coolant.

How could it be the HG if the compression is good? Would the seals in the turbo blown cause shaft play? If not then maybe the seals went and you are leaking the coolant into the exhaust.

Sounds like a blown headgasket that is only leaking under a load/boost.

Like Hughie said, cranking compression is minimal, ~150psi, cylinder pressures under boost are MUCH higher. The fact that you saw smoke from under the hood suggests something else though. Check all hose connections for starters, also pull the plugs and see if they're wet.

Remeber when we were driving it joe, I believe the block looked wet and it looked as tho oil was coming from the turbo.

Why don't you post up a mod list before we go any further.
