LOL Im attending UTI in Illinois currently. 4 schools were choosen to build a kit car which was a Cobra. The bodys were donated by Year One, $10,000 in parts from summit and some other contributers. Well they had to make the car have as close to 300hp as possible. The car my campus built made 289 at the wheels. They supercharged it and did what they could. The car looked pretty sweet. These 4 cars are going to compete in Texas in a drag race, slalom?, and road course. They are all going to be driven by a professional driver. God have mercy on his soul. The other day I walk out of class and see that the power and performance teacher is driving the cobra around the parking lot since it supposed to be shipped out the next day nad a final test drive couldnt hurt. He drives past me and I took a glance and keep walking. I hear him get on it and do a little tire spin. He is currently infront of a row of garage doors on the side of the school. A second later I heard somthing that sounded like a crash. Well there is a place across the street that works with steel so I figured it was that. The next day I found out the brakes went out on the cobra and it went between a wall and a dumpster then hit a small collection of zep cans that are filled with parts washer. LOL He hit the wall at 30mph. The front wheel was ruined same as the body and the front end was bent to hell. The school then had every part needed shipped next day delivery and a whole new body was there the same day already painted. This all happend on wensday of last week. I saw today the car is already operating and they did a alignment on it today. They had to pospone the event because another campus had there engine blow up. LOL Next we are going to hear that the pro driver died because somthing fell apart. From what I have heard it is mostly Ford FACT students that have been working on the car so that makes me think twice about buying a ford.
