Just so people know (which I am sure most do already), Penzoil filters are just re-stickered Fram's. If you are looking for a "good" cheap oil filter go with Napa Silver, Wal-Mart SuperTech, STP, or AC Delco. The SuperTech, STP, and AC Delco are all made by Champion Laboratories, along with Bosch, Mobil, Deautch (sp?), and Car & Driver (from Target). The Penzoil, Quaker Stake, and Castrol filters are all manufactuered by Fram. If anyone cares, Honda of Canda filters are also Frams, while Honda of America uses Fram filtering material but a better casing. Honda of Japan filters are of course just about as good as you get. Ok back to DSM's...Mitsubishi filtes are all of the highest quality you can buy. Amsoil and K&N are also good, but if I recall corectly they too might be made my Champion Labs and just use a synthetic medium rather than the standard paper. I can talk at great length about filters, but I am gonna stop now since I am sure none of you care. If anyone does, just ask.

For oil, Valvoline is about as bad as you can get. Most store brand oils are repackaged Valvoline (such as Napa), but some (Car & Driver) are Havoline. SuperTech is Quaker State...which is owned by Penzoil, which is now owned by Shell.

Its cheap to change your oil every 1500 miles? Even with cheap oil your going to spend more that someone using synthetic that runs their car for 4000-6000 miles before changing it....
