Anybody have any opinions on these coilovers? I don't really see how I could go wrong with JIC.

The TEIN offers pretty much all the same features for a lot less $$.

For most applications I've looked into, the JIC systems are usually stiffer compared to the TEIN setups. (just labeling brands, obviously different systems from each brand "out do" each other).
Just depends upon your budget, your intention for the car, and what the product actually is.
Both are very nice suspension setups.

not worried about the price...just wondered what people thought about them...I am used to spring strut combo instead of a coilover setup

I would worry about JIC a bit. They are well known for poor quality. I've heard of their coilovers snapping before.

i know 3 dsms locally that run them and love them. two of them even drove out to RRE to get their settings tuned by that crazy suspension guy they have on staff (whose name escapes me)

I've heard of having to get JICs rebuild a lot more often than Teins, and I would expect more Teins to be on the road simply because of the price.

The only Tein offering for 1Gs (Super Street) is not as adjustable as the JIC FLTA2s. For 2gs, Tein offers the Flex system, which is pretty close to the FLTA2s in adjustability.

I have KYBAGXs and groun control coilovers (custom GVR4 "soft" edition) and the ride is pretty rough (turned all the way down)
I am pretty sure that the cracks in road on 109th by my house spell out something in morse code, give me a another week driving on it and ill have the bumps memorized and named......
I really miss the stock GVR4 suspension....I wish I had just bought OEM replacement suspension...keep that in mind before you turn your Daily Driver in to your Daily Tooth Rattler
