Alright, I've already bought two that didn't work, the Belkin F5U109 and the Dynex DX-UBDB9. Which one do you guys use? (directed towards 1G Link users)

You need THE cable from DSMlink. No ifs ands or buts about it.

Don't tell me you didn't try to steal their software. Just because the software is free doesn't mean you can get around spending $100 or whatever it is for their cable. Consider it the key like what is used for CAD programs on the back of computers.

Are you talking about a USB to serial adapter cable?

No matter, I just borrowed my brother's laptop w/ a serial port. Mods can delete this if you want.

You need a Keyspan USB to Serial adapter. Most of those Belkin and other brands you find at most stores are nothing but crap.

Alright, sorry for getting on your case. Ecoli is right, the cheaper USB converters suck and don't work with a lot of things.
