So today i traded my 94 Explorer today for a 91 MR2. It was a California car and has been stored up here during the winters, it has a 2 1/2" drop on it which is rediculous for this car, because now it only sits like an 1" off the ground.
I just thought i would share with everyone here.

Cool. I love MR2's but found them to be pretty expensive for what you get, at least thats how it was 2-3 years ago when I was in the market for a project car.
So N/A, turbo? What are the plans for it??

Actually it's a 89 MR2. (I was thinking of my old civic)
And this is a true project! ;)
Here are some pictures to give everyone an idea...

nice car. I'm also a fan of toyotas. I used to have a '93 celica gt. not a turbo or anything, but for an fwd, it took corners like it was on rails :) good luck with the mr2. oh, btw...rather than trying to turbo that engine, you should find a 3sgte. much better engines

Nice ride put a 4agze in it. It's supercharged but it'll drop right in. It has low compression so you can slap a turbo on it with some tunning. As far as the 3sgte you might have to do some custom work on.

Yea me and my buddy were looking at those motors, but for now i already started to turbo it, and have been making really good progress. This coming winter i will do the motor swap (or when the motor blows). I've never turboed a MR2 before, but i thought of something pretty creative.
The turbo and the intercooler will sit in the back trunk area, the turbo will be mounted so that the exhaust comes out where the licence plate was.
It might not make complete sence yet but the pictures will explain when i post them up.

BTW: Thanks for all the advice ;)
